GMOs genetically modified organisms
http://www.bytestyle.tv/
HOW TO AVOID GMO FOODS:
1. Look at the stickers on fruit - there is a PLU code with either 4 or 5 numbers. If your fruit's label has 4 numbers, it is conventionally grown. 5 numbers starting with a 9 means it was organically grown, and 5 numbers starting with an 8 means GMO.
2. Buy local & talk to your farmers - this is the best way to ensure you're eating real foods. It's estimated that up to 85% of pre-packaged and processed foods contain GMOs, so buying fresh from the farm is a great way to avoid that.
3. Avoid the Top Four GMO Crops of Soy, Corn, Canola and Cottonseed - most blended oils in North America contain canola and cottonseed. Replacing these with 100% extra virgin olive oil is a safe alternative.
4. Encourage your favorite food providers to label their food GMO-free. We don't need the government to force companies to label their foods, and we're seeing more and more that we as consumers have tremendous power, and if enough of us ask for GMO-free labels, and support the companies that use them, we'll see a huge increase in labeling. And we're already starting to see this.
Get to know the companies that are labeling their foods GMO-free.
5. Buy Organically Grown Food - For now, the organic certification process is a relatively safe bet to ensure your food is free of GMOs, although this may not be the case in the future. Help support global sustainability by purchasing certified organically grown food.
6. Conventional Sugar - Over 90% of this year's sugar beet harvest will be Monsanto's GM Roundup-Ready Sugar Beet. That means if you are using sugar, or eating anything with sugar in it, you're eating GMOs. Alternatives to sugar are listed here.
7. Grow your own food - Plant a garden using heirloom seeds! (thanks to Amy31415 on YouTube for pointing out this important tip!)
BUT REALLY WHAT DO YOU THINK???Monday, February 15, 2010
Just an update to let you know whats going on with us at the moment. We are currently not on tour at the moment. We moved back home in September to have our new baby girl. She was born November 16th 2009. So she's 2 & 1/2 months old now. It's great to be home! Somehow we have been able to make ends meet and still do music. We have been doing various gigs here and there and Jeff's been doing some production & recording in the studio. I'm so sorry for not posting what we are doing on a weekly basis, I'm super bad at that and actually I don't even know if I know how to do it?? DUH. Anyway we are still playing Churches in the area and Crossroads Church in Camarillo once a month. This weekend we play at Camarillo farmers Market Feb 20th and then The Ranch Church in Los Olivos this Sunday Feb 21st. I'll try to start updating where we will be.
Thanks to all of our friends We love you all

We are home now we have been here for almost 2 weeks, but Jeff had a job So he went straight to work. We need the money for the baby and a motor home. We found one motor home online & it seems too good to be true. The price is only 34,000 and it;s blue book is 90,000. We are going to try to go see it on Monday. One owner and he says he has the title. So I don't know there must be something wrong or it's a miracle. We know about getting the vin number and take it to a mechanic to make sure it's working well, and to put a hold on a down payment check. Any other advice let us know. We will see you all soon I'm sure. Tomorrow we play at Santa Ynez Valley Christian Church at 9am for mothers day.

We are leaving Colorado this Sunday to go home to Ca. I'm so excited I can't wait to see family and friends. And well today is actually nice out here but for the most part it's been cold and snowing. And I really would like to got o the beach this summer since last summer I didn't because we were in India. I need some color in my face. I found a preschool for Jordan that is more reasonable but they are only open during the school year. I guess that's better than nothing. Jeff busy with the call2all stuff here on the base the next few days. And Sunday we have a Church presentation in Denver then we leave for home right after that. So we will be seeing some of you real soon

Today is the Base cleaning day. SO I don't have to clean I guess cause I'm watching Jordan and the preschool is full. Jordan has a little cold anyway so we've basically been inside for a few days now. Jeff is already down stairs working away. Last night he went to the open mic night. He said it was pretty good lots of people he took some video so he's gonna put it on here. I'll let him tell ya about it.
I looked up a scripture about being Clean since it's cleaning day.
Psalm 24:4-5 (Niv)
4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not lift up his soul to an idol
or swear by what is false.
5 He will receive blessing from the LORD
and vindication from God his Savior.

And we did some Planning for a rally we are having here on April 24th-26th.And planning this Thursday night here we are running the community night.
I also took a pregnancy test and it was positive. SO that's good news. I hope I don't get sick like last time, so don't have to carry around a barf bag all the time.
So please pray for that
SEE YA OR TALK TO YA SOON

After that meeting we drove into Nashville and went to the Warner Chapel building for Marv Green's Contract Renewing Party. Marv's daughter and Jordan got to play and entertain everyone by dancing to Marv's songs and running around the room. Jeff got to see all the people he had met at Warner Chapel again. And we got to meet Mathew West he has a number 8 on the Christian Charts right now. He said he'd listen to our music and we can contact him. And another writer there said he'd write with Jeff any time. So that's really good sounds like we have to go back again soon.
Right now we are driving back to Colorado Springs we may get to Kansas tonight.

Hi all,
Sunday we went to Jody's Church (the girl that watched Jordan for us). New River is the name of the Church Micheal W Smith founded it and leads the worship for it . http://www.newriverfellowship.com/
Also our friend Doug came with us to Church which was a big deal cause he doesn't go to Church. I guess he has been asking Jeff a lot of questions lately . The really interesting thing about the Church Service was they had a guess pastor that we knew from Ventura California of all places WEIRD!! Jesse Giglio from Ventura Missionary Church
http://www.vmc.net/
His parents moved out here and his Dad was being ordained at New River so Jesse was there sort of honoring his Dad. So overall it was a pretty good day.
On Monday Jeff went to a party he was invited to from Tracey at Warner Chapel, he met a few people there.
Tuesday Jeff went to meet with Doug Johnson, and after that he stopped by a studio and watched a recording of some great band he met Monday night. The meeting with Doug went well so we will wait to hear from him. Jordan and I walked to a park in a not so great part of town and played there while Jeff was at his meeting. Jordan was the only white kid on the playground not that that's what made it a bad area It was just the shady gang looking guys we had to walk past to get there. The kids were really nice and they were there from the school right next to the park so they were with their teachers. I even heard them say look it's a white girl. It was pretty cute. Then on the way back we stopped at Lee's Hair and Dollar. It was a dollar Store on one side with wigs on the other the other half. Never seen that combination before. We got some snacks and drinks and then walked back to Music Row. They really need a park closer to the music row area. This was the closest one besides the one that has no equipment up since I have to walk cause I'm not driving the motor home.
Wednesday was just a office day for Jeff and and an indoor day for Jordan and I. I think today Thursday will be the same way cause it's raining.
Tomorrow Friday we have a meeting with the president of Go tee Records at 2pm. And a party at night for our friend Marv Green I guess his daughter will be there so we can bring Jordan. We'll have to call Jody to see if she can watch Jordan again during the day so I can go to this meeting. I'm glad we stayed here a little longer. Even though we were supposed to be back in Colorado Springs on Sunday. YWAM is getting someone to cover this Sunday for us so that's good. I will be glad to get back to see some friends like Ally Meggs and family. The English couple that did there dts with us. And went to India with us.It will be good to see her and have some tea and cookies.
Love ya
Hi all,
Monday night Jeff went to a party that Tracey at Warner Chapel invited him to. Marv Green introduced Jeff to her and then she intived him to come. Jeff said it was sort of strange cause he didn't know anyone Tuesday Jeff got to meet with Doug Johnson and that meeting seemed to go well. Doug is going to listen to our music again on his own and also some of Zaca Creeks to see if he is interested in any of it. He also went to the Warner Studio because on Monday he met an artist that is recording there right now I forgot the name of it but Jeff said he is really talented. Tomorrow Friday we have an appointment with GOTEE Records and we are going to a party for our friend Marv Green. So I guess I'm glad we stayed a little longer. YWAM is getting someone to cover this Sunday in Colorado.

Well some of you are probably wondering how Thursday went. We got Jody to watch Jordan she knows our friend Dawn & she was great. She goes to a Church in Franklin so we may go there tomorrow. We parked the motor home right off music row south and there was a tiny park. We walked to our appointments while Jody and Jordan stayed there. Jeff went to meet with Doug Johnson but he was stuck at CRS week, so he will try to see him on Monday. Then Jeff came and got me and we walked over to Word we met with Carrie, Chad's assistant even though Chad was back in the office from being out recovering from brain surgery. She did walk us over to see him after wards. They were both very nice to us and they did have our CD from last time so I guess that's good. They said that the A & R people were in a meeting but they would past our CD on to Josh(A&R Word) and let him know we would still be around for another week if he wanted to talk to us. I felt it was discouraging but Jeff felt it went well. Word said that we can send them our other songs for them to listen to anytime. Which is nice. They aren't signing hardly anyone new at this time.
We did get to meet with someone else that a friend knew at Word he was a very nice guy. We told him about the call2all and he said that he looked it up on the web and found out that someone made an Islamic website just like it copying it even down to the way it looks.Crazy ! Check out the fake one www.call2all.com AND THE REAL ONE IS www.call2all.org
There are some other things we are looking into right now. Thursday night we stayed at a Walmart just in case Jeff would have any more appointments in town on Friday. He didn't so we ended up going to the nice park I went to before in Bellview. We stayed all day for Jordan to finally get out a little.
Today Saturday we are just staying around Doug's doing some computer stuff and applications we have to fill out for joining YWAM LA Staff.
We are supposed to leave on Tuesday but Jeff might be able to meet with GOTEE records on Tuesday and get some more done so I don't know what we will do yet. We are supposed to be in Colorado the 15th for a date ywamemerge has set up. Both things are pretty important.
As most of you know we will be going back to Colorado to do a tour YWAM has set up for March 15th- April 26th or so. To see that schedule go to ywamemerge.org.
After 4 days of prayer and fasting we really are beginning to see the Lord move and lay some great ground work.
Our friend Eric getting a dv camera is a direct answer to prayers. Thank you all who were involved.
Peace
Foss

The Church was closer to Leipers Fork than Franklin so we went to lunch in Leipers Fork and saw Sheryl Crow walk by. It was such a cute little town very small and they had the Dukes of Hazard Car out front and an old Police like from the show. We almost went to puckets which is the restaurant in this website but they have a new cafe so we went there instead and had sandwiches. www.roadfood.com/Reviews/
Jeff and I have been talking about having another baby. We figure why not, it's not as if things are going to be any better or more convenient in the near future for us at this point. And if I am going to be sick like last time it really makes no difference to wait on that.
We are praying for many of you that God would lead you to your promis land. Thank you for your prayers and interest in our crazy life.
Blessings

Today Jordan and I used Doug's car and went to Bellview Mall to play in their indoor play area but the whole mall was closed down. Macy's and Sears were still in business but just to sell all of there stuff including the display furniture. We found a park down the street and Jordan made a friend right away, of course. And I spoke to her mom a really nice girl from Kentucky.
Jeff's stayed in the office and made phone calls and he's writing a new song. I sort of inspired the idea for the song but then that's all I did. Sounds good so far. He has to have ideas done for when he meets with the other song writers. So pray for God to give us words and songs. Also if you think of it you can pray for us next Thursday March 5th we have an appointment with Word Records again.
This video is of Jordan in the motor home dancing. She loves to dance !!
Love you guys talk to ya latter

Saturday we made it to Egan Louisiana and stayed at Cajun Haven RV Park
Sunday we woke up and we thought about going to Church with Killer but we would have had to call and ask him pick us up or drive the motor home to church. So we just stayed at the RV park they had a pond with ducks so Jordan and I fed them and they came right up to us. We have video of that. They also had a playground there so she really loved it. Anyway we got up and drove into New Orleans where we looked for parking but didn't find anything that looked safe. So we found an RV park outside of town that had a shuttle service. They dropped us off and we walked around for a few hours. WHAT A MESS. It's mardi graw and when we got onto Bourbon st I said lets get off this st as soon as we can. So we walked on some less crazy streets. It sure would be great without all the drunks. We went to this place called the Gumbo Shop to eat cause I had read reviews that it was good I got Jambalaya and Jeff got Cajun catfish and Jordan a grilled cheese It was okay nothing special.
The one cool thing I saw was that they had tons of Christians evangelizing all over right in the heart of Bourbon st with big signs that said Ask me why your going to hell. MAYBE NOT THE BEST WAY to evangelize I don't know, but they were all over the city handing out tracks and one lady reading from the bible on a mic.
Then we walked by Bubba Gump Shrimp Company now that looked great OH WELL. We walked around a little and got to the pick up area early Jordan was asleep and I'm glad cause all the drunks from our RV park we showing up to wait for the shuttle as well. They were cussing up a storm yuck it sounds so awful and foreign to me. Our shuttle picked us up at 7pm. We went back and watched a movie and Jordan did some dancing which we catch on tape and then went to sleep.
Monday we drove through most of Alabama Jeff was driving late Jordan was asleep when we got pulled over. I guess motor homes can't be in the middle lane they have to stay in the right unless you are passing. He was nice asked us a ton of questions about who owned the motor home and why aren't we working and such. Then let us go with a warning. We made it to a rest stop right outside Huntsville Al and stayed there for the night When we woke up we saw signs that said 2 hour maximum OOPS oh well no ticket. Thank God
We're here in NASHVILLE NOW!!!!
We are staying with Jeff's friends Doug Merrick and Dawn. Doug is a manager and old friend of Jeff's. Jeff worked all day in Doug's office calling people to set up appointments and get gigs or songwriting sessions. Doug said he's going to take us to Church Sunday even though he doesn't usually go himself. So that's cool.
Today is Wednesday Jordan is saying she wants to go home & she wants to go outside and it's a little cold for me. Oh thank goodness Jeff just said he would take her out for a walk.
