Yesterday an old friend got in touch with me it's so nice to hear from her after about 8 years of loosing touch. I'm excited to get back to California this summer so I can see her and I guess she has a daughter about the same age as Jordan. Sorry to all my friends that I don't talk to on a regular basis I'm pretty bad at that. You can always call me okay.
Today Jordan and I used Doug's car and went to Bellview Mall to play in their indoor play area but the whole mall was closed down. Macy's and Sears were still in business but just to sell all of there stuff including the display furniture. We found a park down the street and Jordan made a friend right away, of course. And I spoke to her mom a really nice girl from Kentucky.
Jeff's stayed in the office and made phone calls and he's writing a new song. I sort of inspired the idea for the song but then that's all I did. Sounds good so far. He has to have ideas done for when he meets with the other song writers. So pray for God to give us words and songs. Also if you think of it you can pray for us next Thursday March 5th we have an appointment with Word Records again.
This video is of Jordan in the motor home dancing. She loves to dance !!
Love you guys talk to ya latter

Saturday we made it to Egan Louisiana and stayed at Cajun Haven RV Park
Jeff wants to write a longer post about this place a guy he met that goes by Killer. He was the one who came and set us up because we arrived so late Saturday night.

Sunday we woke up and we thought about going to Church with Killer but we would have had to call and ask him pick us up or drive the motor home to church. So we just stayed at the RV park they had a pond with ducks so Jordan and I fed them and they came right up to us. We have video of that. They also had a playground there so she really loved it. Anyway we got up and drove into New Orleans where we looked for parking but didn't find anything that looked safe. So we found an RV park outside of town that had a shuttle service. They dropped us off and we walked around for a few hours. WHAT A MESS. It's mardi graw and when we got onto Bourbon st I said lets get off this st as soon as we can. So we walked on some less crazy streets. It sure would be great without all the drunks. We went to this place called the Gumbo Shop to eat cause I had read reviews that it was good I got Jambalaya and Jeff got Cajun catfish and Jordan a grilled cheese It was okay nothing special.
The one cool thing I saw was that they had tons of Christians evangelizing all over right in the heart of Bourbon st with big signs that said Ask me why your going to hell. MAYBE NOT THE BEST WAY to evangelize I don't know, but they were all over the city handing out tracks and one lady reading from the bible on a mic.
Then we walked by Bubba Gump Shrimp Company now that looked great OH WELL. We walked around a little and got to the pick up area early Jordan was asleep and I'm glad cause all the drunks from our RV park we showing up to wait for the shuttle as well. They were cussing up a storm yuck it sounds so awful and foreign to me. Our shuttle picked us up at 7pm. We went back and watched a movie and Jordan did some dancing which we catch on tape and then went to sleep.

Monday we drove through most of Alabama Jeff was driving late Jordan was asleep when we got pulled over. I guess motor homes can't be in the middle lane they have to stay in the right unless you are passing. He was nice asked us a ton of questions about who owned the motor home and why aren't we working and such. Then let us go with a warning. We made it to a rest stop right outside Huntsville Al and stayed there for the night When we woke up we saw signs that said 2 hour maximum OOPS oh well no ticket. Thank God

We're here in NASHVILLE NOW!!!!
We are staying with Jeff's friends Doug Merrick and Dawn. Doug is a manager and old friend of Jeff's. Jeff worked all day in Doug's office calling people to set up appointments and get gigs or songwriting sessions. Doug said he's going to take us to Church Sunday even though he doesn't usually go himself. So that's cool.

Today is Wednesday Jordan is saying she wants to go home & she wants to go outside and it's a little cold for me. Oh thank goodness Jeff just said he would take her out for a walk.

Wednesday night we slept in Tombstone, AZ at Stampede RV Park. It was a pretty funky little place but for 25 dollars a night what do you expect? We have pictures we'll get on here at some point. We walked around the town but we didn't go to any gun fighting shows at the OK Corral. We didn't want it to scare Jordan. Then we made dinner in the motor home and went on a night walk to the town for a dessert. We went to Big Nose Kate's Saloon apparently she was the first prostitute in the area and was also Doc Holiday's girlfriend.

Thursday we woke up and drove through New Mexico stopped in Las Cruces so Jordan could run around. Then drove through a lot of Texas we tried to make it to a walmart in Fredrickberg, but it was getting too late so we decided to stop in Senora Tx. We parked in a parking lot where there was a pizza hut and a hotel. Right off the main Rd. We were a little concerned someone would ask us to move but no one bothered us.

We woke up Friday morning ate breakfast and drove to our friends Brad & Shelli's who have just moved to Cedar Park Tx from Camarillo. It was nice to take a real shower and they took us out to dinner for real Texas food Sausage and brisket. So good!!! the restaurant was called County Line and it was right on the river I guess people drive there boats right up and park to eat. After dinner we went out to the water and fed these huge fish , ducks & turtles I think that was Jordan's favorite part. Or maybe it was screaming at their dog Otis or playing with their youngest son Mason 8.

This morning Saturday we took our time an Shelli made us a great breakfast. Jeff wants to drive into Louisiana today we'll see how far we get. We are now two hours ahead of California so that's a bit strange Jordan didn't go to sleep till 11pm last night.

Just a side note and a prayer request for our friend Eric Himbert he was snowboarding and had a serious accident. Yesterday they were fusing bone together in his spine. Right now they believe he has permanent damage in his spinal cord. But pray for a miracle OKAY. He is such a great guy he leads worship at Crossroads for the college group.
Unbelievable! how does life change so quickly? I wonder what God thinks? D.o we take our own lives and our simple ability to walk for granted? I'm sure we do, I know I do forgive us
.
I found this in the commentary in my bible under Job 6:9
In Job's grief he wanted to give in, to be freed from his discomfort, and to die. But God did not want to grant Job's request. He had a greater plan for him. Our tendency is to want to give up and get out when the going gets rough. To trust God in the good times is commendable but to trust Him during the difficult times tests our limits and exercises our faith. In your struggles large or small trust God is in control and that he will take care of you.

God help us
Will you work all things for the good of those who love you
It says he will so I guess that's where we just have to trust Him

Hi everyone
Yesterday we woke up at the Walmart in Palm Springs and went grocery shopping. It's so convenient to have that right there when you wake up. Then we got on the 10 freeway into Arizona. At about 3:00 we were driving and Jeff said, "We just passed a gem show do you want me to turn around?" "Of course I do" I told him so he did. We pulled into a dirt parking lot/flea market area. It was quite a sight for sore eyes. Apparently they have a rock ,mineral & gem show from Dec- Feb. So people come from all over the country in their trailers & motor homes and set up tables and tents with their stuff to sell. Wow pretty cool but very funky. One old guy in his 80's had his lapidary shop set up and was polishing rocks out of his 1960s beat up trailer. Another younger long haired hippie like guy had his dog tied up outside he collected all his rocks and polished them himself and said that's why he could keep them at such low prices. He gave Jordan a free fossil. Then we walked over to a quartz crystal place and I picked through and got 5 for 1 dollar. The crystal was from Arkansas they had huge chucks for up to thousands of dollars beautiful stuff. Jordan also got a little one for free. And then we passed one old man like in his 90's he was sitting out by his glass collection he had for sale. He had about every color of depression glass and ceramics nick nacs. The funny thing about him was he had a huge bran new motor home and trailer like the ones we dream about having. He definitely didn't wrap all his glass up every night so I said he probably sat outside with a gun. Some people had been there since Dec and most had left leaving some of their junk behind like aluminum siding. If you didn't know already I have been making jewelry. So I got some turquoise at a very good price some rough pendants for like 2 bucks and some polished for 4. So that was definitely a good find.
Then I called a friend to see if we could meet up she is living with her parents in Good year Az. I met her in the grocery store in Colorado Springs when we were in our DTS with YWAM. We became close she has a son Jordan's age. She has gone through a lot in the last few months including a divorce and now fighting for custody of her son. I had encouraged her to seek God which apparently someone had already led her through the sinners prayer but then she knew no Christians and her husband was not to thrilled about her even talking about God in his house. Anyway it was good to see her again and now she is attending a church and bible study has a new job as a nurses assistant. But she needs lots of prayer. I'll ask her if I can say her name so you guys can pray. Jordan and her son also got to play some games at peter Piper pizza last night until 9:30pm.
Jeff then drove to Tucson where we again slept at a Walmart This morning when we went in to buy some water I noticed signs all over that said NO OVERNIGHT RV PARKING OOPS.
We are now driving to Tombstone where we will get a campsite for tonight
